SVAS offers a wide selection of cats, dogs, and other animals which are listed under Pet Finder, Pet Match Program, and Foster Program.

To start the adoption process, you can fill out an application online, that way; it’s complete before you visit. All potential adopters must complete a Pre-Adoption Application. Please keep in mind, however, that a decision won't be made until you mention the names of the animals you are interested in. That's because we have to process every application on a case-by-case basis since, like humans, requirements vary between animals, and they have specific needs and preferences. To save time, potential adopters can download a Pre-Adoption Application, complete the form and either bring it to the shelter, email the form to svasmanager@srt.com, fax the form to 701.838.7622, or fill it out during the visit. The Pre-Adoption Applications are closely reviewed by the SVAS committee to determine if approval is in best interest of the animal and the family. The applications take 48 business hours to process.
