Foster families are an integral part of SVAS because they provide temporary homes for animals for a variety of reasons to include:

• Animals too young to adopt
• Animals that need special medical attention/time to heal
• Animals that need socializing or to check behavior
• SVAS will never ask or expect a foster family to house an animal that is not a "good match" for that family.
