*Containers must be empty, rinsed & drained

Aluminum Cans  - no restrictions; $0.60 (tokens) per pound
Tin Food Cans - no need to remove labels. Can also include paint cans (thin layer of dried paint allowed), aerosol cans (leave spray nozzle on by removing plastic lids) and canning rings & lids; $0.01 per pound
Digital Cell Phones - $2.50 + each
Newspaper - may include inserts but no other paper; $0.01 per pound
Plastic #1 - Only soda/water bottles, green included
Plastic #2 - Jugs with necks (detergent, milk) up to 3 gallons, colored & white. No clear & no caps
Corrugated Cardboard - Must have a wavy center when viewed from the edge. May include brown paper grocery bags. No fiberboard (cereal boxes) or wax coated cardboard
Hard and Soft covered books - no restrictions
Magazines - maximum of 1/2 inch thick; $0.01 per pound
Shredded Office Paper - $0.01 per pound
Junk Mail - $0.01 per pound
Steel food cans $0.01/pound (tokens)

Note:  cans, newspapers, inkjet and toner cartridges, and old cell phones can be donated to places below where the proceeds will be used to help care for our 4-legged friends. It could be easier!

• Drop off your cans and paper items at the Minot Recycling Center ; ask that your tokens to be donated to the SVAS account
• Bring your recyclables to the shelter and deposit them in one of our marked bins; we’ll take it for you.
